Its true that, in the 10 cases you highlighted, excessive use of force by the Police is always an issue. The main concern being that situations can get out of hand very quickly and are ’always’ unpredictable.

The use of excessive force by the Police was in the case of the Brazilian shot dead as he boarded a London underground train. I don’t blame the officers (who are on high alert after the 7th of July bombings and have seen the effect of terrorist attacks like the horrific 9/11).

Its a problem most officers face, when and how to use the appropriate force at the appropriate time. Any officer would be able to tell you, no training prepares you for the real thing.

You know what I don't understand why taser people at all?

Just twist their arm, punch them in the gut, kick them in the nuts... those things rarely kill anyone, how many times have you heard of someone dying because they had their arm twisted or broken? It will probably be a lot more effective too.

Why people think tasering is less violent than any of those things? People are DYING from it, I fail to see the logic.
