Montreal, Canada –

It’s a tough financial world for many Canadians, what with the increase in gas prices due to Big Oil and the increase in the price of eating a healthy diet, something that is getting more expensive every day.

To help alleviate their current financial crisis and keep their vehicles on the road, some motorists in Montreal are turning to a very unusual source of fuel to avoid the escalating costs of filling up at the pump. Some motorists are turning to an innovative mechanic who converts diesel vehicles so they can operate on cooking oil that can be obtained from a local restaurant, usually at no charge, since they are usually trying to get rid of used oil.

Marc Amsden came up with the idea after paying at the pump once too often and the phone hasn’t stopped ringing since. Many of Marc’s customers haul big vehicles cross country, so for them, the switch to vegetable oil entails a big drop in expenses and they often come in contact with additional sources that they can use.

Marc points out that the main selling point of his converted tank is not the savings in shekels, that he created the tank to help alleviate the pollution problem. This is why he encourages customers to use recycled vegetable oil instead of virgin oil derived from food crops, he feels that if you’re using up new food stocks to make this fuel then were really not much ahead.
This man lives as he believes, having given up his three gas powered vehicles in favour of a sedan with a one of his converted fuel tanks, and he uses it to make his daily commute between his home in downtown Montreal and his office deep in the suburban jungle.

He says he now fills his tank for a fraction of his previous costs, that running a vehicle on recycled cooking oil rather than fossil fuels means a net reduction in carbon emissions.
His idea could save us all money and use up all the dirty vegetable oil being thrown out each day from millions of restaurants around the world, creating a new industry, many new industries and jobs.

Big business could soon be calling on this innovative genius to help in the fight against carbon emissions, and of course make them some money, can’t forget about that. So, expect to hear more about Marc Amsden and his converted fuel tanks in the future.
