Pain, longing-loneliness, despair and self-blame are often the things we humans feel when we loose loved ones, especially if we hold them in our arms as they leave this world, we often feel a bond that can never be explained, only experienced.
This is the kind of bond that existed between Jordan Dion and his younger brother Jared, a bond that has never been broken and that last week was hopefully reattached, for it’s what both longed for, to be together.
Last week, rescue personnel had to pull Jordan’s lifeless and broken body from the mangled wreck of a red Mustang that impacted on a medium and then flipped into a ditch on United Boulevard in British Columbia.
The fact is that Jordan Dion died inside on February 06, 1998 on the side of a cold dark country road in Cloverdale as he held his dying brother in his arms for the last time. But he continued to go through the motions of life, but he was suffering, in distress and he didn’t know where to turn.
Leading inevitable some would say to his death last week because of his longing to see his young brother again, the pain and loss being too much for him to deal with, he found away to reach his brother and best friend and it’s not uncommon for humans to self destruct because of pain and loss.
Somewhere up in heaven there are two happy boys, playing and loving each other again as they always wanted, getting reacquainted after a decade of separation and pain. We can only hope that these two brothers are once again united in love as they were in death, and that they find the peace together they always longed for.
Let’s hope Dion and Jared are frolicking, playing, and enjoying each others company somewhere in heaven.
